Spend much time in a major city and it's not long before you become numb to late model Porsches. Usually I wouldn't stop to take a picture of one, but this navy Turbo S was looking quite fine against the gray skies today. With sweet yellow calipers, natch.

Must be brutal to drive in a city! After driving a 997 GT3 in Atlanta once all I could think was that I would only ever own one if I lived in a rural area. Of course I'd have to be able to afford it first.

That would be an illegal parking here but I'm not sure about France. We have to leave at least 5 meters of space between a vehicle and a pedestrian crossing.

Oh, the 16th! One of the poshest arondissements. Good area to find Porsches.

France appears just to ban parking on the crossing, not near it as per here (in French)

Yeah I can't imagine it's very much fun, although probably a tad more civilized than a GT3 haha. How did you swing that? I remember reading somewhere that a pretty high percentage of french households have second homes (like in the high 40s I think), most of them being old family homes by the sea or in the country. I would imagine anyone in the Turbo S set would likely fall into that category!

I don't know for sure, but based on how frequently I see people parked like that I'm going to guess it's not illegal.

Yes indeed, and it also happens to be where I live! In an apartment the size of a large closet, mind you (12 square meters). I took this picture on the walk back between my school and my apartment.
